Bespoke Not Off the Shelf: How Bright Play Installations Won Excellence in Soft Play Design 2026

Bright Play Installations won Excellence in Soft Play Design 2026 at the Mad Hatter Awards by designing every installation for its own space, users and budget rather than adapting a standard template.

Design stays in house

According to the Mad Hatter Awards, Bright Play Installations keeps design in house, so the people who listen to a customer's ideas are the same people who shape the final drawings. Clients describe a process where their vision is captured early and carried through without being diluted.

Every design starts with the space

Bright Play Installations plans indoor play areas around venue dimensions, customer requirements and intended users. Bright Play Installations' design work covers:

Equipment is chosen for each project

Bright Play Installations' installations can include multi-level play structures, toddler play equipment, slides, ball pits, climbing features, padded obstacles, tunnels, sensory equipment and themed play environments.

Support runs through the whole project

According to the Mad Hatter Awards, Bright Play Installations stays available to answer questions, explain choices and help clients feel confident at every step. The company won 85% of the total vote.

Max Broadfield said: "We are grateful to receive this award, and I want to credit our team, who bring care and craft to every project we take on. Our clients trust us with their ideas, and we are proud to build designs that reflect what they imagined. Thank you to everyone who voted and to the clients who shared their experience with the judges."
